One of the best Bowie tribute bands on the planet, Rebel Rebel, will return to The Academy for what promises to be a very intimate gig of the rock legends biggest hits.
Following on from previous sold out shows at Cork Opera House, INEC Killarney and Vicar St at last years Dublin Bowie Festival, we are delighted to have this superb band headlining our Saturday nights entertainment.
Celebrating the songs and legacy of one of the most influential artists of the last 50 years, Rebel Rebel are a 6 piece David Bowie tribute faithfully recreating the most popular songs from Bowie’s extensive back catalogue. The band themselves are fans and have a deep respect for the man and his music.

The David Bowie Experience is a show built on Bowie’s most loved and enduring songs and the band have worked hard at re- creating the sound and look of a David Bowie concert covering Bowie’s hits from 1969 right up to present day.
Lead singer Peter Quinn has always had his voice compared to Bowie’s. “I released an album of original material in 1999 and it was instantly compared to Bowie. It was something I had been told from the time I cut my first demo tape, so when I was looking for a new project a Bowie tribute was the obvious direction.”
The band are made up of some of the finest session musicians in the country, it’s members having previously played with an array of Ireland’s top artists including; Sinead O’Connor, Clannad, Gavin Friday, and Jack L.
