Given that the Dublin Bowie Festival in 2026 focuses on Bowie’s last album — written at a time when, unbeknown to his fans, he was going through a cancer diagnosis and the final stages of his life — it obviously had a huge impact on his music.
We wanted to partner with an organisation that felt truly appropriate, and we’re delighted to be partnering with Cancer Trials Ireland and their annual Just Ask About Trials campaign.
Cancer Trials Ireland gets government support through the HRB, and through from Irish Cancer Society, but they also rely on public support, so we’re really keen to highlight that, and we’d encourage any of our supporters to visit cancertrials.ie and show their support for a fantastic organisation doing hugely valuable work.
We’re proud to partner with Cancer Trials Ireland’s 2026 Just Ask About Trials campaign, and we’d encourage our supporters to visit cancertrials.ie to support their vital work.
Cancer Trials Ireland strives to give people facing cancer access to clinical trials, and thereby a wider range of options that include new and innovative treatments and medicines.
Cancer Trials Ireland’s work is made possible through major support from the Health Research Board and the Irish Cancer Society. It also receives income from international research groups and companies. Charitable donations support ‘academic-led’ trials (i.e. non-commercial trials) that are driven by questions of patient need rather than commercial concerns.
